Every sim will receive a diagnosis, whether positive or negative.
Sims may be diagnosed with:
- SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder): Occurs only during fall and winter.
- Major Depression
- Anxiety
- Borderline Personality Disorder
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- ADHD
- Bipolar Disorder
They can schedule telehealth appointments with psychiatrists and therapists.
Sims can visit psychiatrists and therapists through new interactive features.
They can jot down notes in their mental health app.
Children can now receive diagnoses, though the range is limited (e.g., childhood anxiety). Parents can bring their kids or teens to therapists or psychiatrists.
Sims can undergo inpatient hospital stays.
Upon returning, they'll gain a random buff—either happy or unhappy.
Diagnosed sims can take prescribed medication to alleviate symptoms, though complete relief may not be guaranteed. For example, you might still experience depression even after taking your medication.
