Active Therapy Centers is a game mod for The Sims 4 that adds full-fledged activities for small businesses and custom establishments related to running a therapy practice or mental health center. The mod allows you to manage client appointments, conduct individual, group, and psychiatric sessions, and create a realistic work environment for mental health professionals/psychologists.

🏢 Small Business and Custom Lot Activities
The mod adds the following actions for therapy centers and mental health clinics:
🔸Manning the reception desk (must be assigned to a Sim).
🔸Conducting a psychotherapy session.
🔸Participating in a session with a psychologist.
🛋️ Preparing the space
For the mod to work correctly, we recommend:
🔸Creating separate offices for at least two specialists.
🔸Each office must have: a chair (at least 1), a sofa (at least 1). One piece of furniture must be assigned as the specialist's professional workstation (in Live Mode, by clicking on the object).
🔸If you're playing as a small business owner (a therapist), don't give them commands manually after loading the lot—the Sim will automatically take their workstation and begin working, waiting for patients.
✍🏼 Reception
🔸There must be one reception desk on the lot.
🔸One computer at the desk.
🔸It's advisable to have only one computer per business, otherwise the administrator will constantly switch between them.
The simpler the lot, the more stable the small business will be. Sims waiting for appointments automatically sit down and occupy themselves with reading, using the phone, or knitting.
⚠️ Sims conducting therapy sessions should not simultaneously work at the reception desk.
⚙️ How the mod works
🔸Sims automatically check in at the reception desk.
🔸They can also register manually through the desk or the receptionist.
🔸Playable Sims can choose: individual sessions, group sessions, or mental health sessions.
NPCs most often choose individual sessions, but can also choose mental health sessions if certain conditions are met.
After registering, Sims wait for a therapist to be available, then autonomously start a session, which lasts from 30 to 60 minutes.
👩🏼‍⚕️Playing as a therapist
If you are controlling a Sim who is a mental health therapist:
🔸You can click on the couch or sofa and select to start the session;
🔸Individual, group, and mental health formats are available;
🔸Up to 3 Sims can be accessed through furniture for group and family sessions;
🔸For more Sims, click on the ground next to the session area.
During a session, everything happens autonomously, but if you wish, you can manage the dialogue through the "Conduct Mental Health Sessions" menu.
