Sims 4 DLC Unlocker v2

DLC Unlocker v2 is a tool that will help you unlock DLC for your licensed copy of The Sims 4. Some DLC requires additional files that cannot be downloaded via Origin/EA Desktop/Steam (unless you purchase them).

Installation

1. Download and extract EA DLC Unlocker. To extract the archive, install 7-zip or WinRAR, right-click the downloaded file, and select "Extract."
2. Double-click the setup.bat file. After running the file, you will see a black window with a console containing a list of further actions.
3. Select "Install" by entering "1" and pressing "Enter." The DLC script will automatically detect whether you have EA Desktop or Origin installed. If you have both installed, it will only detect EA Desktop, and the game launched from Origin will not have unlocked DLC! If this happens, reinstall Origin and run the script again, or follow the manual installation instructions in the readme file.
4. Then, enter "2" to select "Add/Update game config."
5. A list of games supported by DLC Unlocker will appear. The Sims 4 is listed at number 21. Enter "21" and press "Enter." Done! Enter "q" and press "Enter" to close the console.

Uninstall

• Double-click the setup.bat file. After running the file, you will see a black window with a console with options.
• Select "Uninstall EA DLC Unlocker" and press "Enter."

Updates and New DLCs

• For The Sims 4, you need to download and install the expansion pack files separately with each update, but you don't need to touch the DLC Unlocker.
• When Origin receives a new update, simply update it. You don't need to touch the Unlocker.
• When EA Desktop receives a new update, update it and reinstall the Unlocker.
• Check the readme file for installation instructions and additional information for Wine users.
• If you have a game on Steam and the Steam store page states that it includes third-party DRM and you need the Origin client, this DLC Unlocker will work with your game as well.
