Sudden Strike Peace Enforcement
Sudden Strike 2: Peace Enforcement is an offshoot of the Sudden Strike series. Technically, this is a copy of the second part, but in a different setting. If the original games were about the Second World War, then the local events take place in an alternate reality in the 2000s.
According to the plot, several months pass after the armed conflict in South Ossetia. In 2009, Georgia sent troops towards Abkhazia. Russia, Ukraine and NATO countries joined the mess. The narrative is replete with trash and cranberries.
The game "Confrontation: Peace Enforcement" did not bring any significant innovations to the franchise. The graphics remained unchanged. But new units appeared: early warning and missile defense systems, Su-27 and Raptors fighters, drones, ships with Harpoon missiles and other military equipment. Models of buildings and peaceful vehicles have been redrawn.
The gameplay is old school here: we listen to a briefing, and then we go through missions in the daytime or at night. Since this is a tactical RTS, you cannot build buildings and stamp fighters. It is necessary to competently use the available troops and be able to hold the defense in anticipation of reinforcements. There is an opportunity to fight against live opponents over the network.
There are 6 armies available in the project. Russian, Georgian, Abkhazian, Polish, American and German armed forces are represented. Play is allowed for any side. Assignments take place on the territory of Europe and the North Caucasus. You can create your own battlefields in the map editor.
