Kar: The Ultimate Glowup V1.2, Proper one.
Basically an overhaul of probably one of the guns ever in Anomaly. Nothing special here.
The main intention for making this addon is to make the Kar98k serve as an animation platform for "bolt-action and fixed magazine rifles" animation sets since the old one has been used for 14 mods as of now (an assumption).
Issues and Fixes, Additions Even.
All of the issues with the vanilla gun that I wanna fix:
- Model looks like something coming out in 2006, assisted by the texture (it looks archaic).
- Recycled anims because we stalker modders rely on each other, especially the need of having animations for a gun.
- Sounds need a revamp (nah it's not synced with the new animations, of course).
- There's no real purpose for using this if I'm being honest.
So yeah, the fixes are:
- New model from Modern Warfare 2019, edited and provided by Ishtar.
- New animation set made by me, of course.
- New sounds from a mix of Ready or Not, Beyond the Wire and Squad.
- The three things combined could solve issue #4. I also make the gun perform better than the Mosin in terms of damage so yeah, that should give you some reason to use it.
I also added an alt aim mode if you guys wanna go CQC but didn't want to detach the scope, or you guys are just going GMod realism with a factory=spec 1930's rifle.
This mod is compatible with JSRS thanks to the gunshot and cycling the bolt sounds being separated. I also recommend using Old Dog Sleeves or any hand pack with Call of Pripyat proportions because, with the default and THAP arms, the left-hand pose looks weird which is caused by the hand mesh.
As I said in the first sentence (excluding the heading or something), I said about the animations that Kar uses. I won't publicly post it here. Message me instead. And don't claim it as your work especially if you only edit the hand pose.
I'm not going to help you with adjusting the animations to fit with a gun that you ported though. Giving access to the project is enough.
