RWG3 Mod (Real War Game 3)
RWG mod is the latest achievement in the field of modding the legendary strategy game Confrontation 4 or Sudden Strike 2. The modification is based on the SS RW (Sudden Strike - Resourse War) engine version 2.4 (fuel engine). The main idea of this war game is the idea of maximum approximation of the gameplay to reality based on the Sudden Strike engine. The developers were able to create an atmospheric project with an updated graphic and sound component compared to the original. Historical materials, performance characteristics, data on the combat use of equipment were raised, on the basis of which changes were made to the parameters of equipment and weapons.
The mappack includes about 100 missions - 5 campaigns and singles.
Work was carried out to completely rework the graphics of units, adding new objects to make the maps more beautiful and realistic, new sounds, a historical balance was introduced, a bunch of new units were introduced, new animation was added.
It was possible to fully rework all the lines of units (by 99%), introduce a huge number of new ones, rework animation, sounds, completely redesign and add terrain objects.
Compared to the original, the balance of the RVG is completely different. Everything has been done here, if possible, to bring what is happening in the game closer to real combat operations. Real performance characteristics are taken as a basis and, based on the parameters existing in the game, they are reproduced in such a way as to most closely reflect.
For example, let's say that the Royal Tiger and the Nashorn seem to have the same weapon, and should have completely identical characteristics in the game, however, we take into account that the cabin of the Nashorn is open, which gives more freedom to the loader. Or the quality of the King's armor was taken into account, which at the end of the war was bad, and often the crew was hit by internal fragments. This is also reflected in the game.

The parameters have changed significantly:
- machine guns - significantly higher range

- PTR, grenade launchers - strictly in accordance with the realities

- katyush - lethality in tanks only for large calibers

- accuracy - significantly reduced for all units, there is no situation of shooting a corpse
- shields for artillery and machine guns - protection from bullets in the frontal projection
- gab accuracy - drastically reduced, as a sniper tool does not work on tanks
- lethality of infantry against tanks - anti-tank grenade has a 25% chance to hit a tank

RVG 3 single player maps and campaigns
For the mod, a titanic work was carried out to create new and rework old maps from FMRM and RVG1. Both established authors, veterans of the cartography, and new blood took part in the work. The missions came out very diverse - these are the hardcore of the Finnish campaign, and the dynamics of Africa, and story missions from Yu-team in the German and Soviet campaigns, diverse simple and complex in the British, atmospheric works of North, Kaleny, IG and Sasha08.
To create a number of missions, new scripting techniques were used, which made it possible to qualitatively change the balance and, accordingly, the style of passing.
