I loved the idea of WooHoo Partners and the opportunities it presented for more varied types of relationships between sims but, as is often the case, I found the reality of the feature to be a bit lacking. For one, sims can only become WooHoo Partners if they are at least friends and are having a very positive conversation. That doesn't seen all that realistic to me - there are other situations that could lead to a casual agreement like this. So I've made some changes.

One of the updates to the game brought our characters the opportunity to become partners in sex, but as usual, the game is very linear and only allows characters who are friends to use this interaction. But in life, everything is not so simple and, often, there are other situations for such a partnership.

With this mod, characters don't have to be friends to become sex partners. There are now 3 relationship dynamics that allow this option.

How it works

Sims no longer necessarily have to be friends to have the option of becoming WooHoo Partners. There are now 3 relationship dynamics which will enable the option:

1. No Strings Attached (Positively acquainted, romance bar visible): this is for sims who are not even at the level of friendship yet, but have a flirtation going on. If they just want to keep things casual, now they can.

2. Friends With Benefits (Good friends, not much romance): this is for sims who are good friends but don't necessarily want to be romantically involved. Maybe they dated briefly and it didn't work out. Or maybe they're scared of committment. Or maybe they just don't care for romance. As long as they haven't reached the point of being labelled as Lovebirds (or "Its Awkward" on the negative side) they have the option of becoming WooHoo Partners.

3. Enemies With Benefits (Disliked but romance bar at least halfway full): this is for those sims who cannot stand each other but have got crazy chemistry between them. Maxis has these "Hot and Cold" and "Enemies with Benefits" labels that I'm pretty sure are almost impossible to achieve in normal gameplay but boy, do I love the idea so I made an allowance for them too.

More tweaks:

  • I've adjusted the odds of WooHoo Partners agreeing to WooHoo. You shouldn't always have to work your way up to it and get them in a good mood in a casual agreement. Sometimes relieving tension is the point, right?
  • Your Teen sims can now ask each other to be Mess Around Buddies! Weirdly, the provision for teens to have WooHoo Partners is in all the tuning except for the actual interaction to ASK. So I've included it. Needs the XML Injector.
  • Unmodded, sims get jealous upon seeing their WooHoo Partner getting romantic with another sim if their friendship is positive - but because you can only become WooHoo Partners with a friendship, that's basically 100% of the time. This entirely defeats the point of a casual agreement so I've changed that. Sims will now only get jealous if they are at least friends and the romance bar is halfway full (at this point, they are probably hoping for a serious relationship). Enemies with benefits will still get their usual jealousy reaction, regardless of WooHoo Partner status.
  • If two sims that are WooHoo Partners end up building a romantic relationship and decide to transition to being Significant Others, the WooHoo Partnership is now automatically ended. I don't know why this wasnt already the case but it was causing issues with players not being able to have sims WooHoo at all.

Enjoy! I've tested each of these scenarios and all seem to be working fine but as always, there's a chance I missed something so please let me know if you come across any issues!
