The visible option is just the corners of the mat taped, but you can completely hide it at anytime by clicking on the mat in live mode.
All interactions can be performed even when the mats are hidden.
The mats also do not cause any routing issues and are just like if you placed a rug!

Thin Book Tuning Fix
This fix came about after I looked into making some magazines for my Sims to read, seeing as how popular they seem to be as of late. I couldn't understand why the Spa workers
