Infinite Scroll of Power Word Kill  

PLEASE READ: If you have the previous version of this mod in your current playthrough, you need to KEEP that installed or game will crash when you attempt to load that save. This appears to be an issue with mods that add new items, and something I'm experiencing myself with other mods. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and the clutter in your Mods folder. THE CURRENT VERSION OF THIS MOD IS ALSO LIKELY UNSAFE TO UNINSTALL.

If you want to try to uninstall, you could try ArthurRevan's solution, but I've personally never gotten it to work for me.

2.0 UPDATE:

• This mod has been reworked. It's no longer a ring or an amulet, but instead a scroll that has infinite uses.
• The scroll is legendary quality and has Power Word Kill's icon to make it stand out and easier to find in your bags.
• Power Word Kill can be used at 100% target HP, has a 100m range, and has no cost. Nypheena is the one who originally made these changes and has given me permission to use them for the amulet. Thank you, Nypheena!
• Power Word Kill now also ignores silence and vision block. Thank you again, Nypheena, for sharing this <3
• Power Word Kill will now only work against enemies. No more accidentally killing yourself or your teammates, or maybe that was just me.
• This does NOT replace the ring or the amulet. It's a completely separate item because replacing either one will break save games that have those items. To repeat the warning above: you will need to keep those mods installed if you those items in your current playthrough.
• The scroll is available in the tutorial chest AND six vendors across all three acts. They will have four in stock. Long rest to update/replenish vendor stock.

• Arron at the Emerald Grove during Act 1 and Act 2.
• Grat the Trader at the Goblin Camp during Act 1. (For evil playthrough.)
• Derryth Bonecloak at the Myconid Village during Act 2.
• Quartermaster Talli at Last Light Inn during Act 2.
• Lann Tarv at Moonrise Towers during Act 2.
• Hoots Hooligan at Sharess' Caress during Act 3.

INSTALLATION: 

• Download Mharius's Full Release Mod Fixer mod. Extract the .zip and put the .pak file in \AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods. To find the AppData folder, type %appdata% in your Windows search bar.
• Download LaughingLeader's Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Manager.
• Extract InfiniteScrollOfPowerWordKill.zip.
• Open BG3ModManager.exe. Click File then Import Mod, and select InfiniteScrollOfPowerWordKill.pak. Hit Refresh (or F5). You should now see InfiniteScrollOfPowerWordKill.pak on the right side, under Inactive Mods.
• Drag InfiniteScrollOfPowerWordKill.pak to the left side. Hit Export Order to Game (the first icon to the right of Export, or CTRL-E).

MANUAL INSTALLATION:

• Download Mharius's Full Release Mod Fixer mod. Extract the .zip and put the .pak file in \AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods. To find the AppData folder, type %appdata% in your Windows search bar.
• Extract InfiniteScrollOfPowerWordKill.zip. and put the extracted .pak file in \AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods.
• Go to \AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public and open modsettings.lsx. I use Notepad++ to do this.
