Minimal HUD (Customizable) 1.2.0
Removes unnecessary HUD elements and moves many HUD elements away from the center of the screen. Many options for customization.
-- For game version: 1.03.2 --
Base Features
The base version of this mod moves the majority of HUD elements away from the center of the screen and removes some of the non-essential HUD elements to reduce clutter. Looking at the screenshots will give you a much better idea of what the base version of this mod does than reading the list of changes.
Customization Options
- Compact HUD: Reduces size of HUD elements, removes status icons and summoned ally health panel, moves condition meters to below stamina meter.
- Remove NPC Health Meters: Removes all NPC health meters, damage numbers on enemies when you attack them, and summoned ally health panel.
- Remove Text Overlays: Removes overlay text banners ("LOST GRACE DISCOVERED", "YOU DIED", etc) and the condition text pop-up (poison, bleed, etc).
- Remove Interaction Prompts: Removes interaction prompts. (Interaction prompts will still appear if there are multiple to choose from)
Every variant of this mod includes two options: normal backgrounds and translucent backgrounds.
Standalone Addons
- Remove Auto-Save Icon
- Remove Flashing Invasion and Summon Message
- Remove Guidance of Grace on the World Map
- Remove Loading Screen Tips
- Remove Runes Counter
- Remove Subtitle Background
These can all be used in addition to one of the main variants of the mod or completely on their own!
Installation:
At the moment there isn't really a good way of installing mods for this game. There is an experimental version of UXM available for mod authors, but the person who released it said this version of UXM is not necessarily recommended for general use. If you want to accept the risk and understand that it may cause issues with the game (although I haven't experienced any issues myself after many hours of playing), you can follow these directions:
- Download the UXM tool here.
- Use UXM to unpack the game's files and patch the game's executable to load the loose files. (This will increase the size of the game by 40-50 GB)
- Download/extract the version of the mod you want and place the "menu" folder in the same location as the game's executable, overwriting the original files.
- You will also need to disable Easy Anti-Cheat to use mods, which will prevent you from using any online features.
I recommend that you make a backup of the original files before you overwrite them, just in case you want to uninstall the mod.
I recommend removing the files from the previous variant or version when switching or updating.
