Local co-op and dedicated server options
Modify the max player capacity of your local co-op multiplayer and dedicated server. Can also change many aspects of your dedicated server like its name, day time speed, exp rate etc.
This is just the preconfigured .ini files with their default values and a mini-guide to place them in their correct location so that they are functional.
Local co-opNOT TESTED NOT WORKINGI have no way of testing if the game can accept more than 4 players atm. Changing the capacity to 1 did make it so that no one could connect to my local multiplayer so I'd assume that setting it to more than the default 4 is going to work. If someone can confirm that it is indeed working please share your experience in the comments. You can also share images that I can include in the mod page.Installation and usage
Download the local co-op file.Drop its contents in C:\Users\*YourUsername*\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\Config\Windows. Replace existing file.Open PalWorldSettings.ini with Notepad or whatever editor you use and change the number in CoopPlayerMaxNum=4 to whatever you want. E.g. If you want your local co-op to accept up to 6 players you do CoopPlayerMaxNum=6.
Dedicated Server
If someone want to share screenshots with more than 32 players in a server I'll be more than happy to include them in the mod page.
Installation and usage
- Download the server file.
- Navigate to wherever your server files are. If you're on steam it should be in \steamapps\common\PalServer. Drop the file in \steamapps\common\PalServer\Pal\Saved\Config\WindowsServer. Replace existing file.
- You can now open PalWorldSettings.ini with Notepad or whatever editor you use and change a bunch of options for your server. These include the max number of players (ServerPlayerMaxNum=32), exp rates, server name, server password etc.
