STALKER Armor Pack (10/21/22)

WARNING FOR NEXT UPDATE:
If you are wearing an exoskeleton, the next update may delete the exoskeleton in your savegame (the one you are wearing or have in your inventory). This is because the Exoskeletons are turning as their own backpacks, rather than being purely cosmetics. Sadly I cannot fix this. The update will be sometime next week. Until then, you've time to set up anything in your servers or warn your players/admins about it. When the update comes, you can enable debug mode to spawn yourself a new one, or ask your admins to spawn you one.

Features

- Adds about 81 outfits and 64 head pieces to the game, based on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe, including the three vanilla games and outfits from the Anomaly mod. Beginning from simple Rookie outfits, to the basic outfits, Berril, NBC outfits, SEVA, Skat-9, Exosuits and Exoskeletons.
- All items are distributed across the map on containers.
- All items are balanced to not be overpowered, although some are better than others, specially the exoskeleton, which is better than vanilla outfits in terms of stats.
- Each outfit (with the exception of the Rookie Jackets), has three items: Jacket, Vest and Trousers. Although some include Shoes and Gloves (such as the Exosuit). In most of the outfits (Berril, Skat-9 and Exosuits being the exceptions), you can wear the hood up or down.
- You can mix all outfits as you want for more interesting cosmetic looks. All factions have similar colours in between their own outfits, which allows for easy combinations.
- Features all 9 vanilla S.T.A.L.K.E.R. factions: Loners, Duty, Freedom, Mercenaries, Ecologists, Monolith, Military, Bandits and Clear Sky. If there's much interest on adding Sin, Renegades and UNISG, they will be added in a future update.
- Back attachments: some outfits only are complete when using the back attachments, these are the Exoskeleton Power Supply, SEVA Breathing System, the SSP-99M Breathing System and the Oxygen Tank. None of these have any utilities in the game, they do not power anything nor help you breathe anywhere, they are mere cosmetics, and you can even still wear a backpack while wearing them.
- Gas Mask Filter System: The pack includes 9 different type of Gas Masks. It also includes one new item named "Gas Mask Filter". By having one in your inventory and right clicking any of the new Gas Masks (without a filter), you can insert the Gas Mask Filter into the Gas Mask. By right clicking the Gas Mask (with a filter), you can remove the Gas Mask Filter. This is done through the recipe system. At this moment, it also has no utility, other than pure cosmetics and immersion.
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Exoskeletons: While wearing an Exosuit, the player may decide to also wear an Exoskeleton frame, these, along with their power supply, complete the exoskeleton in terms of cosmetics. The Exoskeleton, along with the Back Attachments, use a new outfit slot and do not overwrite any other clothes. This means that you can wear the exoskeleton over other outfits, this is not intended, but there is no fix.
- Patch System: Based on StalkerZ Roleplay DayZ server's system, this patch system allows players to wear patches of their faction. Beginning by wearing an Armband, which is a new outfit slot. Then you can equip any patch you wish to display your faction. This also allows for, in PvP, players kill others and take their patches as rewards.

DISCLAIMER:
I am a 3D artist. I am not a coder. While I had ideas for the Exoskeleton Power Supply to power the Exoskeleton itself, and act like batteries for it, I can't really code something like that. While we do not have any radiation system, outside of mods such as Toxic Air or Toxic Fog, making the Gas Mask Filter System usable, for the filters to actually be useful for something and be spent overtime, I also do not know how to make this usable. For this, if any modder wishes to use these two systems, for future radiation mods, or Toxic Air and Fog, and similar systems, feel free to do it. If any modder wishes to make patches for these mods, using the Gas Mask Filter System, and the Gas Masks of this mod, feel free to do it.

FAQ

Is there an outfit guide? I want to see all the outfits included in this pack!
Other than the pictures uploaded here to the Workshop, you can see the written guide as a chart in one of the pictures. There is also this picture that the Workshop didn't let me upload for it being too big, where you can find all the outfits with their original combinations, zoom in, and check: https://i.imgur.com/bP5yI4w.png

Where does each thing spawn? Can you help me find X item?
My recommendation is that you go to the folder of the mod inside your Steam Workshop folder, to media/lua/Server/Items, and open StalkerArmorPack_Distributions.lua with a text editor, inside, make a search for the item you are searching for, for example, Bear Suit Jacket, will be "bearjacket". CS-3b Trousers will be "cs3bpants", and so on. If you are not sure of the name you must search for, I suggest you check media/scripts/clothing/clothing_StalkerArmorPack.txt. Overall, all outfits should spawn a lot. The chances of objects to spawn is very high.

A little hint is that each faction will have things appearing in different places. For example, much of Duty things will appear in Police Stations. Military faction's outfits will appear at military places. Ecologists in medical locations.

In what game version does it work?
The last test has been done in 41.71. It has also been tested in local server, so it works both in singleplayer and multiplayer.

Does it work with X mod?
It should. Unless X mod and this mod share item names, there shouldn't be any issues, and if so, one should overwrite the other with only that item.

I would love to see Renegades, UNISG and Sin factions, could you make them?
Post a comment! The more comments I get on these three factions, the more people I'll see that are interested in them. If many are interested, I'll do them.

Will you make more S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods in the future?
I'd love to. I'd certainly love to see some S.T.A.L.K.E.R. type of server in the future, which was one of my fuels for this mod to be made. For that to happen, more mods of this universe need to be made, so it is possible I do.

What languages are available at the moment for this mod?
At this moment, the mod is in english only. However, I plan to add Russian in the next update. After that update, you will be able to find the translation files in the mod. If you wish your language to be added, edit those files I'll tell about and translate it. Then, post a comment here so that I know you are interested in adding a language that isn't in the mod yet, and I can add you as friends so that I add your translation into the mod. You will be included in the credits of the mod as the translator for that language.
