1993 American Vehicle Pack (Lore Friendly)
Description

This mod adds era vehicles that would have been seen on America's Roads in 1993. The mod art style is deliberately designed to fit with the game's vanilla art style but with some improvements without taking away the game developer's ideas and vision. The mod adds 132 vehicles using the standard spawn lists as does not need any other mods to work.

This mod is designed to increase the variety in spawned traffic and to make rare vehicles harder to find. The mod only focuses on American vehicles and re-badged cars for the US market at the time (1993). I don't plan to make any cars from outside the US as other modders are focusing on them and the majority of vehicle modders tend to focus on anything but American despite the game being set in America. The pack is designed for single player, multiplayer and for Roleplay (RP). Vehicle models are deliberately have low poly models (fits vanilla cars) to help reduce lag when there are large zombie hordes.

The mod focuses on American car manufacturers for the late 80's and early 90's to fit the lore and add more variety to the game world. Future updates will go further back in time and cars from older time periods will get rarer the further back in time. I plan on making cars from the 60's and 70's but will be quite far in the future due to how long it takes to make large numbers of cars. Filibuster Rhymes Used Cars is recommended but not needed for this mod but will work along side FR Used cars - if you want fuel tankers and fuel trailers it is important to have the mod but not needed.

Updates - Vehicle Categories

Vehicle categories (Wave 1 - release 1987 - 1993);

Trucks
Sedans
Coupes
Muscle
SUVs
Station Wagons (from one of my older Mods - Coming update will have more)

More vehicles categories, will be added in future updates. I will be doing a smaller update adding more 90's era vehicles that I didn't fit in on release. Larger updates will be classed as "waves". Wave 2 will be focused on the 1980's and late 1970's. later waves will go further back in time.

FAQs

1. Will the mod be updated in the future?

I plan on making both small and large updates - large updates are "waves". Wave 1 is release which focuses mainly early 90's vehicles but has some 80's vehicles. Please be aware that I can't always take requests due to how big this project is. I am trying to add as many cars as I can but not all the time can I do all the vehicles made by America. At this point in America's history. 3 months of non-stop hard work has lead to this mod release with so much more soon, but as a single developer please be patient and wait for content releases. As I add more cars I will start to go further back in time with the large releases being know as waves. Each "wave" will be a iconic decade but be aware it could take another 3 months between releases depending on the development process and how many cars I pick out.

2. Why do the doors, trunk and hood not open compared to other mods?

This was a design decision. Cars in this mod currently function the same as the default vanilla cars - cars can have there parts taken off, smashed windows/lowered windows and access to trunk and engine bay. The base game does have open vehicle parts put the code is still experimental (beta) and Indie Stone will likely change or add to code. When Indie Stone officially releases a update to vehicles that open car parts. I will update each model to that standard. It is better to have a mod in current vehicle standards to prevent updates breaking the mod every time a patch or version release comes out.

3. Will you be doing other manufacturers in the future?

I will mainly focus on American vehicles due to lack of American cars being made by modders. Plenty of modders have been making vehicles that are not American and there are far less american cars than other car manufacturers. However if people want a vehicle(s) as a commission I will be happy to make them.

4. Do you do commissions?

As mentioned above I do commissions - Commissions greatly support me and help keep me making free content. If you want to contact me, add me as a friend on Steam or join Fulibuster Rhyms Used Cars Discord as I very active on there (you can directly DM me on discord once you have joined FR's Discord).

5. Will these cars spawn in once installed on single player and multiplayer?

Any server or single player game that has already been started will have cars spawn if the area has not been discovered before by any players (MP). Single player should be ok if you have not visited a area.

6. Do these cars replace any vanilla vehicles?

No vanilla vehicles are replaced. The mod adds the new vehicles to a spawn list which the game will randomly spawn a car from that spawn list. The game can and will spawn in Vanilla cars, but vanilla cars will spawn more rarely due to the number of vehicles in this mod.

7. Do you plan to add articulated Big Rigs to the mod?

I do plan to make big rigs in this mod as future update but it a similar reason to FAQ Answer 2 where I am waiting for the official Indie Stone Code release as they have the code in the game for Big Rigs but it is subject to change.

8. Do you plan to make bikes and other vehicles?

Due to other modders I have decided not to add motorbikes and trailers plus motorbikes have not yet had a official code update from Indie Stone. Its basically the same as FAQ 2 and 8. I do plan to add vans, Fire Engines, compacts, pickup trucks and station wagons in later updates.

9. Does Mod need your older mods to work?

Apart from the 1995 Chevy Pack and 1993 Honda Civic Pack (not included and optional sub) you do not need my older mods

This car needs no introduction. Produced by the DoLorean Motor Group, it promises to be the benchmark for all cars of the future. Already in the 21st century, all cars will be produced with such doors, and rear-mounted engines will become the standard.

M923 is using the absolutely massive M939 chassis, so it's big, very big. Hillbilly got its name for the oxidised steel plates that were used to up armor it into a fortress on wheels.
