Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) 1.7.3

The Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) is a tool used by many Skyrim mods that expands scripting capabilities and adds additional functionality to the game.

Once installed, no additional steps are needed to launch Skyrim with SKSE's added functionality. You can start the game using SKSE from skse_loader.exe

Installation (Manual):

• Download SKSE 1.7.3 (Classic Build)
• Extract all files inside the skse_1_07_03 folder to your game folder (where Skyrim.exe is located)
• Run the game using skse_loader.exe
• To confirm it is working, open the console with the tilde (`) key and type getskseversion. This will display the version number of the current SKSE build. 

Install with Vortex

The current version of SKSE is 1.7.3.

Current Anniversary Edition build 2.2.3 (game version 1.6.640): Download 7z File

Current GOG Anniversary Edition build 2.2.3 (game version 1.6.659): Download 7z File

Current Special Edition build 2.0.20 (game version 1.5.97): Download 7z File - you probably want the AE build above unless you know what you are doing

Current VR build 2.0.12 (game version 1.4.15): Download 7z File

If you are using the latest version on Steam, download the AE build. The older build supporting 1.5.97 is still around to support people who have downgraded their installation or otherwise prevented updates.
