Pretty Pistols Pack

Pretty Pistols Pack. High Quality Models & Textures for all the pistols in Anomaly. Also makes balance changes to make them different and more fun to use from eachother.

___________
DESCRIPTION
___________
Pretty Pistols Pack.
The goal is not as simple as just fixing and prettifying every gun, there will also be balance changes where required.
The main idea though is indeed to make all guns have the best texture and the best models available.
Said balance changes also means that, for example, the smaller P229 should be using a lower magazine size with 9mm caliber instead of the default .45 ACP.
Some guns, unique or common, might have tritium sight. Almost every tritium sight is different.
A much later update will ADD weapons instead of replacing them where viable.

IMPORTANT. The mod has been reported to cause crashes, but the fixes are easy and can be done on your side.
If you don't want to do that, it's your responsibility, but don't blame any of us modders about it.
First of all, find any stashes of pistols you have made, then disassemble all of them.
Second of all, set "trader restock cycle" from Options>Gameplay>Progression to 12 and sleep at least 13 hours.
After all this is done, you shouldn't have any "old" pistols that might crash the game.
___________
INSTALLATION
___________

The mod was made with FOMOD in mind, it's recommended you use Mod Organizer 2 (MO2). If not, manual:
Simply extract the "gamedata" to your main Anomaly folder.
Look for addons in "addons", extract gamedata from it to your main Anomaly folder.
___________
PATCHES/ADDONS INFORMATION
___________

- [OPTIONAL] Kennedith's Enhanced Shaders Metallic Boost. This changes some pistols' .thm (material) files so they use PhongMetal or a stronger BlinPhong. Basically, it gives select weapons a proper metallic shade:
1911s, Desert Eagle, Beretta 92FS INOX, P229 LEGION, Stetchkin APS, PB, Tokarev, Makarov PM, CZ52
(While it requires "Enhanced Shaders" Moddb.com, it can be used without, but the effect won't be the same.)

- EFT Reposition Patch. Patch for "EFT Reposition", which changes how guns are positioned.
- Blindside Patch. Patch for "Blindside's Anims" for the Grach. INSTALL THIS OR THE OTHER AND LAST.
- Blindside & EFT Reposition Patch. Patch for "Blindside's Anims" and "EFT Reposition" for the Grach. INSTALL THIS OR THE OTHER AND LAST.

- Beretta M9A1/A2 Lookalike. Changes the texture of the M9 so it closely resembles an M9A1/M9A2, with tan slide & frame.
- Beretta M9A3 Lookalike. Changes the texture of the M9 so it closely resembles an M9A3, with khaki frame, tan slide and tan grip.
- Beretta Px4 INOX. Gives the Px4 an INOX appearance, with a very bright steel slide and dark barrel.
- FN57 Black Grip. Changes the FN57's grip/frame to be black.
- FN57 Tan Grip. Changes the FN57's grip/frame to be tan.
- Fort-12 Dual Tone. Makes the slide have a lighter shade than the frame, giving it a more classic STALKER Trilogy appearance.
- Glock 17 Tan Grip. Changes the Glock 17's grip/frame to be tan.
- Glock 19 Black Grip. Changes the Glock 19's grip/frame to be black.
- XD9 Black Grip. Changes the XD9's grip/frame to be black.
- P229 Clean Finish. Changes the way the gun shines so it looks much cleaner and reflective.
- Desert Eagle Cleaner Finish. Changes the way the gun shines so it looks much cleaner and reflective.

___________
DETAILS
___________

--- 1911 ---
[OVERHAULED]
Every 1911 is now a variant of it, not just the same 1911A1 with a pitiful retexture and normal map.
* Main variant itself is a classic "1911". It is no longer able to use a suppressor. It has been balanced to be very accurate, especially after upgrades. All credits go to "Verdun" developers.
* Variant 2 "Alt" is now a Smith & Wesson 645 that can be turned into a Smith & Wesson 659 through the 9x19 caliber change. It is pretty much a "compact" 1911 that uses .45 ACP or 9mm, so has less weight and better handling for slightly less accuracy and recoil. All credits go to "tigg".
* Variant 3 "Camo" is now instead a Coonan, which is a 1911-lookalike pistol that uses .357 Magnum, comes with proper balance changes; it is pretty much a much faster-firing Desert Eagle but with lower accuracy and much higher recoil, especially on consecutive shots. Since it's only available for high-ranking Monolith & Sin members, it's very rare. Credits go to "eNse7en".
* Variant 4 "Custom" is now a "Strayer Voigt Infinity", this pistol has a unique trademark clip that holds 15-rounds and has zone-made fast-firing 3-round burst and blue tritium, but its recoil on fast-fire is strong and reliability is rather low in comparison to the classic 1911.
* Variant 5 "Duty" is now just a copy of the 1911, but it has a unique upgrade that makes it use the 7.62×25mm Tokarev caliber instead of .45 ACP. When changing to said caliber, it will have less recoil, more penetration but less damage.
* Variant 6 "Merc" is now an M45A1, with tan paint and yellow tritium sights. Credits go to "New World Interactive", creators of Insurgency Sandstorm!
* Variant 7 "Modern" is now an M45, with stainless steel finish. Credits go to "New World Interactive", creators of Insurgency!
* Variant 8 "New" is now an 1911A1, with a blued finish. Instead of being a direct improvement, it's now a "choice", either because of better ironsight or just the looks, although it does have some mechanical improvements such as for the handling. All credits go to "yon4z".

--- Beretta 92FS ---
The Beretta is now composed of two 92FS types, M9 and Px4 Storm.
Variant 3 "Camouflaged" is now instead a Beretta Px4. Thanks to "Tim Bergholz"!
- Said gun had balance changes to make it have better recoil and RPM but worse accuracy. Also, it can be upgraded to use .45 ACP caliber instead with further balance changes.
Variant 4 "Modern" is now instead a Beretta M9. Thanks to the company "New World Interactive", authors of Insurgency Sandstorm!
- Said gun has balance changes, but minor, simply making it a bit better than the first two variants, unable to change to 9x18 and inherent ability to use a silencer.

For both 92FS vairants:
- Made it so both are exactly the same, balance-wise.
- Smoothing errors fixed
- Textures for both variants overhauled:
* Default is now a worn black variant with a leatherish grip.
* Variant 4 "Alternate" is now a fully INOX type.
- Specular has been redone a bit to make the gun less shiny and more matte. Goes very well with "Enhanced Shaders".
* Also, the new variant INOX uses its own Specular variant.

--- Browning HP ---
[OVERHAULED]
- Default variant is now a proper Belgian-made Browning P-35, with some blueing. This includes a new texture and normal map.
* Naming has been changed to "Browning P-35" to keep in tune with the lore.
- Variant 2 is now a "Browning HP Mark III", made in the same style as the Browning HP in "Clear Sky/Call of Pripyat". All credits go to "Alex Stuart" for providing the materials!
* To make it a bit more balanced, it has much more firerate, much better reliability and slightly lower recoil but much worse handling compared to the P-35.

--- CZ-52 ---
Now shares animations with the CZ-75, this makes it avoid interpolation errors, that is, weirdness with animations such as the empty slide suddenly going forward when sprinting or the hands changing positions when walking.

--- CZ-75 ---
- Now uses a much better texture & normal map. Includes some nice matte ironsight paint and has visible color on the firemode indicators.

--- Desert Eagle ---
* Balance changes have been made to make it the slowest pistol to fire with the highest recoil possible and the worst handling, but has the best accuracy (especially after upgrading fully) and damage.
- Said changes go for all pistols except Nimble's, to make them not different from eachother, so it's a matter of taste instead.
- Nimble's Variant is now the current modern variant of the Desert Eagle Mark XIX, Dual-Tone with Silver Slider and Black Frame, also has its own recoil compensator and picatinny rails. It was created by "ELIZION", so all credits go to him.
- Also, it is able to use Barska, C-More and ACOG scopes.
- The guns are now separated by color; Silver, Black & Gold.
- All guns (except Nimble) have Tritium and fixed smoothing.
- Specular has been remade to be a proper sexy shine.

--- FN57 ---
Now uses another, much better model from the game "Ready or Not". Thanks to the company "VOID Interactive"!
- Also, balance changes were made to make it act like in real life; accurate, ergonomic, lowest recoil possible. To compensate, the fire-rate and range is lower.

--- FNX-45 Tactical ---
(All fixes were made by "Siks", as indicated by the asterisk, with some other changes by me)
* Completely new model by Eprdox with better texture and normal map.
* Smoothing fixed, especially for the silencer.
* Sights now have lens dirt [Modified by me to be more centered and less dirty without changing the texture]
- First variant is black, Second variant is tan, Third variant (the one that has "custom") is green
- The dot is separated and made smaller for all FNX-45 Tactical pistols, making it as compatible as possible with other scope/sight mods.
- Textures changed from DXT5 to DXT1 using Nvidia Exporter (this means NO quality loss for less size)

--- Fort-17 ---
Now uses "Fort-12" just like in the original trilogy. Credits to SAM61 for the model.
* Includes some balance changes, Fort-12 is a direct upgrade of the Makarov but with lower reliability, handling and fire-rate.
* The 9x19 upgrade now makes proper changes, such as more damage, more recoil, better bullet distance and speed and the like.
(A later update will make the Fort-17 be more common amongst every faction that uses Fort-12, as well as change "Nimble's Fort" to the Fort-21)

--- Glock 19 ---
Now uses "Glock 17" for the first variant, taken from Insurgency Sandstorm's Alpha. Thanks to the company "New World Interactive"!
- Also, said variant has two changes for the upgrades:
Instead of 3-burst, it changes to full-auto. This unofficially turns it into a Glock 18.
Instead of 9x18, it changes to .45 ACP. This pretty much turns it into a Glock 21.

Variant 2 remains the same, Glock 19, but had its diffuse, normal and specular maps heavily improved, also fixed smoothing errors.
- Also made balance changes; it's a bit lighter, has 15 clip instead of 17, better handling, slightly better accuracy and worse recoil. Also has very subtle night sights.

Variant 3 is now a Springfield Armory XD9 Mod.2 Sub-Compact. Thanks to "raimeiyonke"!
- For balance changes, it is very light, has 10 rounds, lowest recoil of all "Glocks" and best accuracy (except when rapid-firing, both recoil & accuracy goes worse). Also has front tritium optic.

--- GSh-18 ---
- Smoothing errors fixed.
- Normal Map fixed, also remade Specular Map to make the metal (slider) look like metal and the plastic look a bit worn.
- Remade the texture for both pistols so they're completely unique:
* First variant is a "clean" finish with white sights.
* Second variant is a slate-red finish with high-contrast sights and a subtle red tritium.

--- MP-443 Grach ---
[OVERHAULED]
- Model has been switched with a much better one.
- Textures redone to fit STALKER better. Using Specular that should give the pistol a metallic look (except on the grip itself, which is plastic).
- Now has Tritium Sights by default, the backsights with a subtle yellow while the front a complete green.

--- OTs-33 Pernach ---
- Now uses a much better texture & normal map. Includes some nice matte ironsight paint and has visible color on the firemode indicators.

--- PB (Or 6P9) ---
- To add a bit more appeal to the gun, the "Custom" variant now has functional Tritium.

--- PM ---
Upgrade Scheme has had balance changes:
* RPM increase for both upgrades is now 15% instead of 10%.
* 3-burst now has much faster fire when using said firemode, instead of a surprisingly slow one.
* 9x19 upgrade now has proper balance changes, such as...Increased damage, lower magazine size, higher recoil, extremely high reliability decrease, etc. (HINT: It is better to upgrade the PMM with this than the PM)
- Texture for the default Makarov has been heavily improved; Better metal shade, better grip shade, "red parts" are metal and now shine as such, bullets have proper shine to it, better sharper details and much better color overall.
- PMM has a much better, brand new look, but still with some wear and tear.
* Balance changes include the gun actually having more bullet distance and speed as it says on the description. It's overall a direct upgrade to the PM, except for the weight and fire-rate.
* Makarov PM model has been fixed; safety lever is down, trigger is a bit further. Third-person model had its smoothing fixed and further optimized.

Variant 2 "Custom" is now a Walther PPK instead, chambered in 9x18 Makarov. The idea is that it's a "Western Makarov" type better fit for "Sharpshooters" due to its high accuracy but low handling and magazine size.

--- Sig Sauer P220 ---
[OVERHAULED]
The Sig Sauer is now three types of different pistols; The original P220, the compact P229 and the "futuristic" (for Anomaly standards) P320.
- P220 uses the same model, which is SAM61's, with much better Diffuse, Normal and Specular Maps textures. It's based on the "German" version with aluminium alloy frame and blued stainless steel slide, also has high-contrast sights.
- P229 is the second variant, a model made by NanouJunem, so all credits to him. This is a more compact and metallic variant of the P220, also has subtle tritium sights.
- Since this pistol can only be chambered in 9x19 Parabellum, it uses said ammunition, this includes balance changes to it such as lower damage, more accuracy and less recoil.
- P320 is the unique variant only obtainable from Nimble, model made by Michael Egorov, so all credits to him. A modern pistol in Anomaly standards, has tritium sights.
- Also, this unique variant is chambered in 9x19 Parabellum by default, but can be changed to .45 ACP. Said change also changes the magazine, damage and recoil.

--- Stetchin APS ---
- Fixed smoothing errors.

--- USP ---
[OVERHAULED]
- USP just got a new, much better model by "Aleksandr Goncharov", credits to him.
- [TO DO] Variant 2 of the USP is now an "USP Compact". It is meant to look like from the original trilogy, so it has a lighter slide compared to the frame.
- Variant 3 is a Tactical USP, with dual-tone black plastic frame and blued slide, pretty much a direct upgrade of the USP except for the weight, handling and fire-rate. Also has orange-tinted tritium and can have silencer installed without an upgrade. All credits go to "VOID Interactive", creators of "Ready or Not".
- Variant 4 (Nimble) is a Mark 23, made by "Axel Kraefft", so all credits to him. This one combines the best of all the USPs, but has worst handling, firerate and weight.

--- Walther P99 ---
[OVERHAULED]
- Uses a superior model, which is Latteh's model modified by SAM61.
* Default variant is completely black with metallic slide and subtle tritium.
* Second variant is black slide with green frame and a more deluxe tritium.
- Both pistols have been rebalanced:
* Now has some actual recoil, also has the best handling of any other pistol to compensate for the low accuracy.
* Both pistols are also exactly the same now, with the "custom" variant only having slightly better reliability. This makes it an option based on what you think is prettier.
* Sights have been aligned perfectly for both.
___________
KNOWN ISSUES
___________

* FN57 has some weird smoothing errors, not strong enough to be annoying.
___________
COMPATIBILITY
___________

* There is a slight incompatibility with "Boomsticks & Sharpsticks", namely the Five-SeveN. If you want the PPP FN57, you need to load PPP last, if not, load B&S last.
Be mindful that if you're already using BaS in a save, it's recommended you don't use PPP's FN57.

Not fully compatible with mods that change the pistols.
There will be a file called "upgrade_presets.tlx" that might conflict with other weapons, it's okay, the file is shared across all.
A merge/patch can be done relatively easily though.

This is a collection of small tweaks I've done for my own personal game. Most of them have few/no conflicts with other addons, but are too small to release as their own individual addon.
