Improved Ranks Revisited
Rebalance of the original Improved Ranks mod by Yakovleva focused more for story mode and companion rank ups.
I know there is an updated version of Improved Ranks for 1.5.1 but it still has the original values that made you rank up way too fast even with the reduced gains option. I found myself almost a few thousand points to becoming Legend rank in just 3-4 in-game days preparing to start Living Legend in Story Mode. I haven't even done something noteworthy to be regarded as a Legend.
With this mod I was a Master with 35k+ points by the end of Living Legend, makes sense since you accomplished a big task. I was a Legend 60k as I was finishing Mortal Sin, depends on how many tasks you do in between though.
This version focuses rank gains for more longtime play and prevents you from being a Legend in less than 5 days while still giving your companions a chance to rank up adequately due to the more forgiving gains for mutant/stalker kills and other actions they can perform.
Ranks are still the same as the original mod, up to 50k to attain Legend rank. Hip now starts as 'Experienced' rank, makes more sense from her lore.
Stalker Kill Gains:
- Novice = 10
- Trainee = 25
- Experienced = 50
- Professional = 85
- Veteran = 130
- Expert = 200
- Master = 300
- Legend = 500
Other Rank Gains (things that happen too often or mundane actions are lower):
- Tasks completed: 100
- Mutant kills: 50
- Helping wounded/Surrendered enemies/found artifacts: 25
- PDA deliveries: 20
- Surviving emissions: 15
- Surviving psy-storms/stashes found/items crafted: 10
- Field dressings/self-repairs/item disassembly/boxes smashed: 5
- Map travel: 0
- Heli kills: 1000 or 500
