Assault on Avesnes Beta 0.92 After Rommel's unexpected breakthrough with his 7th Armored Division over the northern extension of the Maginot Line, he pushed as far as he could. Stopped by the surprised and fleeing French, but barely embarrassed, Rommel insists on reaching the village of Avesnes before evening to prevent the French from gathering on the other side of the river. When the German tanks reached the outskirts, they were low on ammunition. Most of the other units were abandoned or were in action, so the tanks and other motorcycles had to attack. This map painted realism on the flag, so the reinforcement is asymmetrical. The French received material and heavy tanks at the station.
