Bob Pancake only  wanted one thing...well two things..pancakes and marshmallow. But his mom told him that marshmallow doesnt grow on trees and they couldnt afford to feed his marshmallow addiction.

He went to university to study plant genetics and after many years of slogging at labs all over the world..his dream came true.

He developed the first ever plant grown marshmallow! He received many awards which he dedicated to his late mother.

This is the origin story of the famous saying -
