Home Repair: Stained Walls  

This is very similar to my Damaged Walls mod. It functions almost identically to that except that you don't need Handiness to clean after inspecting.

Why do you have to inspect them before cleaning them? Because that gives you the freedom to choose when they become cleanable. Otherwise your sims will go around doing it on their own when you might want it to stay messy for a bit.

These are overrides of a EA objects given custom tuning and moved to the Wall Sculptures category in build mode. This is to make them easier to find and to clean up the buy mode wall decorations a bit.

UPDATE 8/29/22:

• Added French translation from Vanessa Sims
• Added Polish translation from Aarathiel
• Reduced the negative environment from each object. You'll need to place more objects to see the negative buff, but it should keep sims from being miserable when you just want a little damage for aesthetic.
• Added tooltips to tell you how much negative environment each object gives.
• Added a new addon for graffiti. Be sure to read the details and requirements of it before downloading it.
• I realized as I was typing this that I forgot to screenshot the addon objects but they're the only graffiti that shows up in Wall Attachments so you can't miss them.
• Uploaded the tuning file separately. You only need this if you're planning to use the addon without the main mod.

The new strings are in English, French, Polish, and Russian only at the moment. I don't speak any other languages nearly well enough to translate them so I welcome any translations that anyone can offer and will credit all translators.

Addon Details & Requirements

The addon contains cloned objects from Get Famous, Get Together, and Werewolves. These do not override the existing objects, but make copies so you can choose on a case-by-case basis whether the graffiti is art or vandalism.

In addition to the packs listed above, this requires the main mod's tuning. If you use it as an addon you'll already have that, but if you want to use this standalone (for example, if you don't have StrangerVille or Werewolves, but you do have Get Together) you should download the TUNING_ONLY zip.

• Merged contains all objects in one file. Nice and easy if you have all the packs included and want to minimize your mod files. IMPORTANT: There are files and you should choose one. The original version has negative environment effects and the Alt version doesn't.
• ByPack contains a TUNING file and one file per pack. You can pick and choose the packs you have/want. This version has negative environment effects.
• ByPack_Alt contains a TUNING file and one file per pack. You can pick and choose the packs you have/want. This version does not have negative environment effects.
• TUNING ONLY is just the tuning file. You only need this if you intend to use the Graffiti addon standalone without the main mod.
