How to get a quote?

Go on any computer, find the Insurance Company Pie and click buy house insurance

You can either start your quote or cancel, never too late to change your mind!

If you click start you will be asked to answer some questions.

Example Questions

When you have answered all the questions you will be given your quote Price and option to buy now, save later, or no thanks.

Click buy now - Will take your payment and activate your policy right away with no waiting or delays!

Note if you do not have enough money to pay for your insurance the buy now option will be grey, You can however still save for the 7 days

After payment has been made you will find you now have your house-insured trait

Your house insurance policy will last for 70 sims days, You will get a warning 7 days before it is due to run out.

Once the 7 days are up your house-insured trait will be removed and you will need to buy a new policy.

Click on Save for Later - Allows you to save your quote and pay within 7 days

To pay later just use the Insurance Company pie menu again

Click on No thanks if you don't want to buy or save your quote

Making A Claim
Claims are now based on policy details, Location at the time of buying, Location at the time of claim, and whether you have had any damage to your household belongings

Each claim you make will cost you $100 whatever the outcome

Once you click start you will be asked questions about your claim

Yes & No have different outcomes,

Click No and it's 100% going to fail, Can't claim for no damage silly

Click Yes and you will carry on to the next question

Click No will 100% fail, Your details must be correct at all times

Click yes and you will continue with your claim

Here is the fun bit!

Pay or Cancel?

If you have answered the question truthfully you have nothing to worry about.

Once you have been told your claim is a success you will be notified when your payment has been sent this could be in less than 6 hours

Payment is based on the amount of damage in the fire

1 item = $1000 to $1500 2 items = $1500 to 2500

3 items = $3000 to 4000 4 items = $4000 to $5000

it keeps increasing up to 10 items

I set it at 10 max as I've never had more than that at one-time catch fire ( if you would like it changed let me know)

Untruthful Answers

If your answers were incorrect you may get court and lose your excess payment and risk having your policy canceled.

Amend Policy

This is for if you move house or neighborhood

Just go to the insurance company pie menu and click amend

what you need to consider, Your new neighborhood could be less or more than your previous one if you can't afford to pay the difference you will have no choice but to cancel your policy and take out a new one when you can afford it, but don't worry you will get a refund on your old policy
