Tactical battles in WARNO take place in real time, where users can take control of modern combat vehicles and go to the front, plunging into the Third World War. The game is made in the genre of strategy and army command simulator, where you need to think over the movement for units and watch the events taking place. The storyline is about the coup that occurs after Gorbachev's departure, creating a tense conflict between the states in 1989.

Plunging into VARNO, players are expected to:

• 4 global turn-based campaigns, on behalf of the general, coordinating actions on the battlefield.
• Various scenarios that allow you to find yourself in difficult combat trials.
• 6 countries that are part of NATO and the Warsaw Pact, for which you can participate in battles: USA, West and East Germany, Great Britain, France and the Soviet Union.
• Creation of unique combat scenes where you can control 600 units, such as: MCV-80 Warrior, M1A1 Abrams, French Gazelle helicopters, special forces troops, SU-25 Frogfoot, Leopard tanks, KPz T-55AM2 and Mil Mi-24 Hind.
• Commanding the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, the US 3rd Division, the 5th West German Detachment, the 79th Soviet Guards, the 27th Motor Rifle Unit, and the 7th East German Tank Group.
• Passage of a single player campaign or multiplayer skirmishes with teams of 10 people.
