Animate Dead Plus Plus v1.16
Animate Dead++
Changes Animate Dead, Create Undead, and Undead Thralls to allow for smoother and expanded gameplay.
Animate Dead
- Now supports 5th- and 6th-level upcasting of skeletons and zombies. Two additional summons per slot.
- Can now summon melee skeletons. These have a spear and shield with higher strength and AC but lower dexterity.
- Added an arcane glyph animation to each undead's point of origin at the time of casting.
- Added to bard's magical secrets list.
Animate Dead and Create Undead
- No corpses required! Instead, the spells target anywhere on the ground within range.
- Removed summon limit. Can reanimate as many undead as your spell slots allow.
- Added combat automation to reanimated undead.
- Undead benefit from short rests.
Undead Thralls
- Wizards with the School of Necromancy subclass will receive their free Animate
Dead spell at level 5 instead of 6 (when any red-blooded necromancer
would normally take it).
Optional Changes
- Disable combat automation: You can find self-explanatory potions in the tutorial chest on the second floor of the first area of the game. Alternatively, trader Arron carries them as part of his stock in the Grove.
- Require corpses for reanimation: install both the base Animate Dead++ mod and the Animate Dead++ Corpses Addon mod. Set the Corpses Addon mod to load after the core mod in your mod manager.
-----
Compatibility
This was made to (hopefully) work well with other mods, but may conflict with any that make changes to Animate Dead, Undead Thralls, or Create Undead.

Thanks and Credits
Thanks to Nox Phantom for their work on the AI Friends mod, which was referenced in this mod's automation.
Necromancers are never short on friends. They have them in spades.
