Texturing modification Dead Zone for Anomaly
Texturing modification "Dead Zone" merges you into the atmosphere of deserted and forever abandoned world of Extinction Zone, green grass can be seen only in some locations, but it is not for long. The most powerful emission has occurred in the Zone, and it has changed and submerged in the darkness forever. Dive in the world of Dead Zone and feel the horror and despair.Now Zone is dull, depressive, trees are almost leafless, grass is faded, soil is burnt by radiation, asphalt is absolutely destroyed, everything is rusty from acid rains. Buildings and walls are colorless and dirty, stones around locations are covered with fungi and corrosion. There is only death and radiation everywhere.
STORY
Dead Zone was born in 2012. That time I had created three parts of graphic modification named Apocalypse. And now, 9 years later, I have decided to rejoice you with new graphics modification.
CHANGES
Zone is completely retextured, new textures of brick walls, earth, soil, fences, partially concrete, some parts of walls inside the houses, asphalt, grass are created. Zone is completely rusty, all the machinery is remade (rusty), textures of walls and wall parts with windows in Pripyat and Dead City are remade or created new, wall textures in Limansk changed to 2k,4K and 8k resolution. Dirt and rust added to concrete and wall textures. All textures are high resolution.
OPTIMIZATION
In the standard for each texture in the thm file, in addition to the prescribed bump, the developers also impose an additional texture of the details on the texture itself, that is, for concrete, they impose a material on the texture that, in their opinion, will make the effect of how concrete should look, but in fact the texture visually becomes worse. I removed this additional material from almost all thm files, so the load on the system is now an order of magnitude less. Accordingly, the fps is higher. Thus, my texture mod loads the system less without losing quality, unlike other texture mods.
DEVELOPER
1. Full zone retexturing

4. New grass bicubic type for Summer Pack and Dead Zone
1. Replaced debris decals, plaster textures, broken bricks and tiles on the ground, asphalt, some concrete textures.
2. New Water (Dead) and her behavior , new helicopter and BTR textures.
Installation procedure:
1. Download the patch, archive contents copy it to the folder with the Dead Zone base and agree with the replacement.
2. Open the archive only with the 7z archiver.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR ANOMALY
- Download the archive, open the archive, go to the folder Dead Zone for Anomaly, then to the folder Dead Zone Basis and copy the contents into a folder with the game in the folder Gamedata.
- Open the folder Dead Zone grass and copy the contents of the folder in the game folder in Gamedata.
- Download and install the patch from 01/11/2022.
- To play with the summer package. Open the folder Dead Zone grass Summer and copy the contents of the folder in the game folder in Gamedata.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR GAMMA
- Download the archive. Go to the folder with the installed GAMMA in the folder mods, create a folder xxxDeadZone, in it create a folder gamedata. Open the archive, go to the folder Dead Zone for Anomaly, then to the folder Dead Zone Basis and copy the contents to xxxDeadZone\gamedata.In the archive go to the folder Dead Zone grass and copy the contents of the folder to xxxDeadZone\Gamedata.
- Download the patch dated 01/11/2022 and copy the archive content into the folder xxxDeadZone\gamedata.
- Run the MO, go to the bottom of the list and turn on the addon xxxDeadZone.
- Then MUST turn off addon number 241- Simple Autumn Retexture No leaves - Daedalus-Prime 242- Gardener of the Zone Textures - YuriVernadsky and the Grulag's Dead Bushes addon is under G.A.M.M.A. Fixes.
- Installing the summer vegetation: In the archive, open the folder Dead Zone grass Summer and copy the contents of the folder to xxxDeadZone\Gamedata.
