Stardew Valley Expanded v1.14.28  

If you haven't touched Stardew Valley for a long time and don't want to start over a familiar adventure, then how about changing the game beyond recognition?

Stardew Valley Expanded is perhaps the most popular modification for ConcernedApe's creation, which significantly expands the game by adding new and extremely high-quality content.

After installing a fan-made extension from FlashShifter, the famous places of the city of Pelican with its surroundings will be significantly reworked. The location of a number of objects will change, there will be new areas to explore, characters to meet, as well as quests, items, farm upgrades, festivals and much more.

This mod adds 27 new NPCs, 50 locations, 260 character events, 27 fish, reimagined vanilla areas, two farm maps, a reimagined world map reflecting all changes, new music, questlines, objects, crops, festivals, and many miscellaneous additions!

Stardew Valley Expanded (SVE) stays as true to the source material as it can- from new areas and expanded dialogue and events, to the portraits for a brand new set of characters. My goal, as a modder hobbyist, is this: "Give the player the magical feeling they had when they first played Stardew Valley". To experience that magic as ConcernedApe intended, I recommend playing through vanilla Stardew Valley before jumping into SVE’s expanded world. For players who have already played Stardew Valley: think back to when you first walked into the Secret Woods, completed an elaborate quest, experienced Shane’s six heart event, or met Abigail for the first time. Stardew Valley is full of those inspired moments that enchant you and draw you into its world. By taking that world and expanding it, I hope to create more of those moments, so you can always find something new when you make your way back to the valley. Starting a new save file is required!

Install Guide Stardew Valley Expanded Mod

Upon installing SMAPI the command console will spit out a code for steam users to copy. Go into properties of Startdew Valley in Steam and paste this code into the Launch Options box.

Installing SVE

Required Mods
Install all of these mods:
- SMAPI
- Content Patcher
- Farm Type Manager

Your Mods folder (which SMAPI will create automatically) should now look something like this, plus any additional mods you may have installed. The photo below shows extra folders that are installed by SMAPI including ConsoleCommands, ErrorHandler and SaveBackup.

Main Mod

1. Find your game folder. Open the Mods folder inside there.
2. Download Stardew Valley Expanded.
3. Unzip the downloaded folder before moving it to Mods. Make sure to move the unzipped folder into your mods folder.

Optional Files

Grandpa's Farm and Immersive Farm 2 Remastered (IF2R)

Grandpa's Farm

The Recommended farm to play with Stardew Valley Expanded! Replaces the standard farm layout.

You can change your farm layout by installing Grandpa's Farm or IF2R. They are new farm maps that replace the standard layout. Only one can be installed at a time, so you'll need to choose which one will compliment your play style:

1. Download Immersive Farm 2 Remastered or Grandpa's Farm under Main Files, then unzip it.
2. Drag the Immersive Farm 2 Remastered or Grandpa's Farm folder into your Mods folder.
3. STANDARD FARM must be selected upon start of a new save file for this map to load.

Grampleton Fields

You can add a huge farmable field to the game, located east of Shearwater Bridge. View the full map here. Warning: It's a very large map and can cause extended loading times. A strong computer is recommended to run this map.

1. Download Grampleton Fields under Miscellaneous files.
2. Drag the Grampleton Fields folder into your Mods folder.

CJB Cheats Menu warps

If you use CJB Cheats Menu, you can change its warps to match SVE:

1. Download 'CJB Cheats Menu - SVE Warps' under Miscellaneous Files. (Download this manually, not through a mod manager if you're using one.)
2. Unzip the download.
3. Replace CJB Cheats Menu's assets/warps.json file with the one in the download.

New NPC

SVE adds over a dozen new fully-fledged NPCs, and many other characters. These NPCs come with dynamic dialogue, schedules, back-story, personalities, animations, events, and more. Even more are under development!

New Character Events

SVE events aim to expand the story of Stardew's characters and the lore of the world. Players can visit the Stardew Valley Expanded Wikipedia for details on how to trigger the new events. SVE as of Version 1.14 adds over 270 new events.

Expanded Joja Store

SVE features an expanded Joja storyline! What will the fate of Pelican Town be if you, the player, side with Joja and allow a corporate takeover of the valley?

New Farm Maps

SVE adds an additional two farm maps to choose from (optional).

Grandpa's Farm
The recommended farm map to choose when playing with Stardew Valley Expanded! Replaces the standard farm layout. Modestly sized farmland, tillable grass, multiple questlines, different landmark locations, shortcuts to surrounding areas, and secrets to discover. Grandpas Farm comes with a sandbox layout configuration for players wanting full control on map design.

Immersive Farm 2 Remastered
A huge plot of land optimized for multiplayer or solo players looking for a challenge. Features tillable grass, a questline, and secrets. Comes with many configurations!

New Locations

SVE adds 50 new locations. Some areas must be unlocked through progression and quests. The Stardew Valley Expanded Wiki has more information on some of the new areas.

Location Messages

All maps - vanilla and new, interior and exterior - are now filled with location messages for you to discover and experience. There are over 900 throughout the world!

New Fish

23 new fish are introduced in SVE! Details on where to catch them, difficulty, sale price, and more can be found on the Stardew Valley Expanded Wiki.

New World Map

SVE comes with a new world map! It changes with the seasons.

Custom Forage

Immersive custom forage spawn locations throughout the world, in every map. Some forage/objects are one-time spawns and others spawn in specific areas. After playing for 2+ years, many spawns are buffed and new ones will appear.
