Custom Spouse Patio Wizard v0.2.0

Provides an in-game interface for adding, moving, and removing custom spouse patios. Requires Custom Spouse Patio mod.

Notice: this mod is now obsolete, please use Custom Spouse Patio Redux instead.

So, Custom Spouse Patio was more popular than I expected, which is great! But a lot of people couldn't make it work because of the need to know a bit of json, etc. So, hopefully this tool will make the process of adding custom spouse patios easier.

This mod requires Custom Spouse Patio v.0.7.0+ to work.

To use, just go to your farm, hover the cursor over a tile, and press the hotkey button (default F8). The menu will pop up and give you several options. Just follow the basic interface and you should see the changes immediately.

Current Functionality

  • Add new spouse area at chosen cursor tile
  • Move existing spouse area to the chosen cursor tile or in a specific direction
  • Remove existing spouse area
  • List existing spouse areas
  • Reload existing spouse areas

Notes

  • Only accessible if you have a spouse and are on the farm.
  • Allows you to choose spouse area tiles of any vanilla NPC. Be aware that not all characters look good with someone else's spouse area! See here for what default spouse areas look like.
  • Does not allow you to remove spouse areas from external content packs provided by other mods.
  • Does allow you to move spouse areas provided by external content packs - this creates an internal copy that overrides the content pack spouse area.
  • Does not allow you to create spouse areas with custom tilesheets; see the Custom Spouse Patio mod documentation for how to do that.
  • If you remove all spouse patios, CSP will show your (main) spouse's default patio at the default location (provided they have one).
  • Spouse patios added with this mod are located in a file called outdoor-areas.json in the Custom Spouse Patio mod's folder. For manual modification, just edit that file with notepad (Notepad++ recommended). If you corrupt that file, just delete it and start over with the wizard.
