Trees Have Loot
This is a simple mod that will allow the player to interact with the trees to obtain certain items such as branches, bugs, and some other things.
This will make the player walk to the tree and start searching in it for items. When the action is performed, a roll will be done. If the value is 0 then a random item from a loot table will be added to the player. Based on the world temperature there will be winter, autumn, spring and summer loot table that will be also split into small and big trees. Based on the season the items and chances will be different.
- Winter: only twigs and branches
- Autumn: twigs, branches and few bugs
- Spring: twigs, branches and more bugs (Wildeggs for only Big Trees)
- Summer: twigs, branches and many bugs (More WildEggs for only Big Trees)
Additional details:
- If the tree is a Pine tree, base on tree size there may be chances of Pine cones falling in the floor (Affected by player strength).
- The Search In Tree action is improved by the Foraging skill.
- Searching without gloves in big trees may hurt player's hand.
- If the player gets a twig or branch the endurance is slightly drecreased (as the player needed to pluck it).
Simple as the name, equip a sharp knife or an axe in the hands and cut branches from trees. For balancing purposes and avoiding having one tree for infinite branches, after each time the action is performed a roll between 0 and the tree size occurs. If the roll is 0, then that tree doesn't have more "branches" until 30 days passes and new ones are generated.
Additional details:
- Same as with Search In Tree, if the tree is a pine tree, there are chances of pine cones falling in the floor. (Affected by player strength).
- Be careful if a Dead Squirrel or Bird also falls in your head.
- If an Axe is used, the branch falls in the floor, if a Knife is used the branch is added to the player's inventory.
- Weapon's durability may be decreased.
- Slightly tire the player
My intention is to keep expanding the loot tables to make them more specific per tree size, tree type and season.
