SquareDOV - Square & Customizable Minimap
Turns the Minimap into a "Square", also provides many options for Compass, Detection/Sound Bars, Player Icon and Friendly/Enemy detector.
___________
DESCRIPTION
___________
SquareDOV. (The DOV stands for Depth of View, even though it's a bit nonsensical still)
In case you ever wanted a Minimap that was square, this is EXACTLY for you.
Comes with various designs that will hopefully fit your own artistic designs in many ways.
Also has a variety of options to toggle, as well as a "MODDING GUIDE" on how to modify it yourself without too much hassle.
The "MODDING GUIDE" offers tutorials on how to change the map's transparency, size and position, so do give it a read if you want to modify any of it.
___________
INSTALLATION
___________
NOTE: The mod was made with MO2/BAIN format in mind for ease of install, give that a try.
It also contains a FOMOD for MO2.
For manual install, it should be simple;
1. First and foremost, install the first file, in this case it's "00 SQUAREDOV MAIN FILE [INSTALL FIRST ALWAYS]", extract it to your main Anomaly file.
2. The rest are "Addons", install whichever you'd like in order.
* Check the "MODDING GUIDE" to know how to make configurations, for the map size, position, transparency and Static Counter.

___________
PROBLEMS/TO DO
___________
X The map itself, ironically, is actually a Rectangle, not a Square. This is because of how Anomaly works; it stretches. There's nothing I can do.
X Vertical Detection Bars are planned, but despite many attempts it seems they're impossible to do.
X There is no proper way to move out the detection bars off the map. However, some dirty edits are planned.
X The mod was made for 16:9, tested in 4:3 and 21:9. Other versions might not work properly.
X Static Counter shows corpses as well. This will be fixed later.
___________
DETAILS
___________
- MINIMAP.
The minimap itself is a big square, roughly 256x256 and calculated by the monitor ratio (16:9 for example), it is also 20% transparent,
Transparency can be changed by reading the "MODDING GUIDE" on how to.
- COMPASS.
By default, the compass is integrated into the minimap itself. It has 4 waypoints, Red & Green are North and South respectively, while Blue & Yellow are East & West respectively.
Smaller subtle bars are also shown to indicate other directions.
- INDICATORS.
There is a Noise & Visibility indicator. Both are hovering over the player dot itself.
The Noise indicator is to the top-right, going from top-to-bottom. Starts as green and slowly turns to orange, until it reaches the "noisiest" which is red.
The higher it is, the noisier you are, meaning that enemies will hear you. Stepping on bushes and sprinting will make the highest noise.
There is also a blue "cone" centered right on the player dot that will progress with the bar itself. The color is static, it is meant to be used as an alternative indicator.
The Visibility indicator is to the bottom-left, going from top-to-bottom. Starts as a bright green, merging with the red, which turns it orange in the middle and finally a bright red in the end.
The higher it is, the faster an enemy will spot you and alert others. Be mindful that it only works with enemies and mutants, neutral stalkers won't care.
There is also a green "cone" centered right on the player dot that will progress with the bar itself. The color is static, it is meant to be used as an alternative indicator.
- CLOCK.
The clock itself, used to indicate the current time in-game. Nothing special about it.
- STATIC COUNTER.
This is used to display the amount of STALKERs, both friendly and hostile, right on the minimap.
It is positioned to the bottom-left and won't appear until you have at least one target.
Uses its own background and changes according to the style you pick.
Also has toggleable (through the "MODDING GUIDE") "Contact Sound" function, which you can further improve it by making it use "contact acquired" and "contact lost".
___________
COMPATIBILITY
___________
Anything that changes "zone_map" is not compatible.
Basically, not compatible with any other Minimap.
