Pastel ReShade

A warm pastel ReShade preset for Hogwarts Legacy. On my five year old laptop that doesn't meet the game's GPU requirements, using this shader made me drop about 14 fps. I'm using the Ascendio FPS Hotfix. (https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/69) Tweak it to see what works for you!

Installation

1. Install ReShade at https://reshade.me/
2. Run the installer and select the HogwartsLegacy.exe that's in the Binaries folder, which if you're using Steam is probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64
(There are two exes, so be sure to choose the right one.)
3. Select Direct3D 10/11/12
4. In the list of effect sets to check, choose

  • Standard effects (which is probably already checked)
  • SweetFX by CeeJay.dk,
  • qUINT by Marty Mcfly
  • Legacy effects (which may be at the bottom)

You can check boxes if you want to have more options to play around with.5. Click OK through the remaining windows. ReShade is now installed!
6. Download the file though the files tab in Nexus.
7. Unzip the file and put it in the same directory you put ReShade in, which is most likely C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64.
8. Launch the game. Open the ReShade menu with the Home button (the upper rightmost button, at least on my laptop).
9. Click the bar at the top to select which shader you want. If you haven't used ReShade before, it's probably worth it to go through the tutorial.
10. Go to settings and make sure the screenshots you take are going to the correct folder. Also, it's a good idea to have a hotkey that toggles your shader on and off.

I created this personal reshade preset to add more contrast and natural lighting to Hogwarts legacy's world without overdoing vibrance and crushing shadows as harshly as most reshades do, while still making a noticeable improvement in the game's visuals.
