Mod Installer (MI) is a program for easy installing mods to Far Cry games. MI uses mods which are called packages (extensions a2, a3, a4, a5). Using MI you can install those packages into the game.

All-in-one Mod Installer

If you're using the Mod Installer for longer time, you know there were MIs for each Far Cry game as separate download item. This is deprecated now.

Now there is just one Mod Installer which contains everything required to each Far Cry game, so you download one file and you can install mods for all Far Cry games.

This new way is easier that you don't have to care about updating every Mod Installer one-by-one, and it's also easier for us developers to release new versions quickly and with fixed bugs for all Far Cry games.

Background videos for FC4 and Primal Mod Installer

Every Mod Installer contains animated background where is played video. This video is taken directly from game files. But Far Cry 4 and Far Cry Primal doesn't have the background as video so Mod Installer can't use them.

That's why there is an optional download item with those backgrounds created for Mod Installer. This optional item isn't in main MI download item by default.

If you download it, unzip it directly to Mod Installer folder where you have the exe files.

How to use new all-in-one Mod Installer

Now there is just one Mod Installer for all Far Cry games. It means that all mods are in single folder.
