It is perfect for fans of long-term military battles with limited opportunities, where you can rely only on the power of your mind. Each mission has a historical background and is a reconstruction of real events with a detailed restored area.

Events unfold during the Second World War. The player can take control of one of the main forces, which took part in large-scale military battles. The USSR, Germany, Japan, the USA and Great Britain converge in a huge battle, using all their possible resources. Fights can start anywhere: on city streets, in the suburbs, in villages, deserts, etc. Each map has over 50 environmental details, including haystacks, road signs, curbs, and more. Such attention to detail allows the player to quickly immerse themselves in the atmosphere of hostilities and feel like a real commander of one of the divisions of experienced fighters.

At the disposal of the protagonist Hidder Line 2 will be a variety of divisions, including air, tank and artillery. The player must focus on completing the tasks that are given to him and competently dispose of all the troops, sending them to different points and striking at specific logistics points. You can replenish the ranks of lost soldiers by calling in reinforcements, but with a certain frequency and in limited quantities.

The issue with crashes in some missions in several parts (for example, "Confrontation: The Battle for Black Gold") of the series is solved by enabling the "Save replay" option in the settings.

To ensure that the sound in Confrontations does not disappear, starting with Windows Vista and later, set the compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2 before the first launch.

If you are already on the battlefield and after returning to the main menu, the sound is gone, it means that compatibility was not set before the first launch of Confrontation. In this case, you need to exit the game, set compatibility with Windows XP SP2, minimize (Alt + Esc) and turn up the volume of the game in the volume mixer.
