Servo Bloodlines
Not all Occults have children, while some would not consider Servos to be Occults in the first place. But if Servos are sentient creatures capable of contributing to a legacy or even starting their own, then the specifics of their status are irrelevant. All that would matter is whether they could have children...because then they would be perfectly capable of cultivating their own bloodline. Now, there would of course be some limitations. NoOccult children adopted by Spellcasters do not develop a bloodline because of it, yet those turned by Vampires and Werewolves do. So how do Servo Bloodlines go on?
Easily, given one of this mod's effects: if a Servo activates another Servo, that Servo will always be their child. Not just their Robot Creation, as any activated Servo would be to whoever was their Robot Creator, no. They would be their children, proper. And of course, if through some technological advancement beyond the understanding of the mind, a Servo manages to have a biological child, they would also inherit a Bloodline as would happen with any other Occult Bloodline. Look, if no one questions how literal Skeleton Sims can have children, no one gets to question how Servos have children, either.
Following the inheritance rules established by Realm of Magic's own Spellcaster Bloodlines (see below) to be as faithful as possible to the trend the game set despite these being for a different Occult, the benefits of each Bloodline level are as follows:
Weak Servo Bloodline:
- Charge will decay 10% slower and be regained 10% faster
- Durability will decay 10% slower and be regained 10% faster
- Robotics Skill is gained 10% faster
Strong Servo Bloodline:
- Charge will decay 20% slower and be regained 20% faster
- Durability will decay 20% slower and be regained 20% faster
- Robotics Skill is gained 20% faster
Ancient Servo Bloodline:
- Charge will decay 30% slower and be regained 30% faster
- Durability will decay 50% slower and be regained 50% faster
- Robotics Skill is gained 30% faster
Inheritance rules are as follows: Servos without a bloodline will produce Weak Servo Bloodline Servos, Weak produces Strong, Strong produces Ancient, and Ancient produces more Ancients. These reverse if the Sim with the bloodline isn't actually born a Servo. The level of the bloodline will only increase so long as the offspring is a Servo just like their parent(s).
Now, the Parent-Child changes this mod makes to Servo activation must be elaborated upon. A Servo activated by another Servo will be both their Robot Creation and their Child, and the activator will be both their Robot Creator and Parent. It will reflect in their in-game genealogy as well. This comes with all benefits and consequences one might expect. Biological children of any Parent will be their siblings even if they are not Servos. The family of any non-Servo Parent will be their family.
They will not be able to perform Romantic interactions with neither Servo or non-Servo Sims who are related to them or any of their Parents, even if they were a Servo created from scratch on the Robotics Table. Their Creator's family will become their family absolutely. That is the cost of them truly being considered children of their activator. This does not apply if the Robot Creator is not themselves a Servo, only with regards to Servos activating Servos.
