Skeleton Bloodlines
Though it is a fleeting state, the joys of Skeleton-hood are a tale of legend for Simkind, at least judging by the amount of ways in which Sims can temporarily turn themselves into Skeletons. It may not be permanent, normally, but that's a minor footnote compared to all the perks of being born to a literal Skeleton. And since playable Skeletons may not always be gifted with the same benefits as their summoned counterparts, it is only fair that they obtain some benefits of their own for gameplay, especially within a multi-generational context.
Following the inheritance rules established by Realm of Magic's own Spellcaster Bloodlines (see below), the bonuses received by Skeletons with Skeleton Bloodlines are as follows:
Weak Skeleton Bloodline:
- Bladder motive decays 10% slower
- Hygiene motive decays 10% slower
- All Energized buffs contribute 10% more to overall mood than they normally would
- All Playful buffs contribute 10% less to overall mood than they normally would
Strong Skeleton Bloodline:
- Bladder motive decays 20% slower
- Hygiene motive decays 20% slower
- All Energized buffs contribute 20% more to overall mood than they normally would
- All Playful buffs contribute 20% less to overall mood than they normally would
Ancient Skeleton Bloodline:
- Bladder motive decays 30% slower
- Hygiene motive decays 30% slower
- All Energized buffs contribute 50% more to overall mood than they normally would
- All Playful buffs contribute 50% less to overall mood than they normally would
These perks will benefit any Sim with the trait, regardless of whether or not they are personally a Skeleton.
Inheritance rules are as follows: Skeletons without a bloodline will produce Weak Skeleton Bloodline Skeletons, Weak produces Strong, Strong produces Ancient, and Ancient produces more Ancients. These reverse if the Sim with the bloodline isn't actually a Skeleton. The level of the bloodline will only increase so long as the offspring is a Skeleton just like their parent(s).
Since Skeletons are a temporary life state, you will need to rely on your mod(s) of choice if you wish for your Sims to remain Skeletons. The game only recognizes the traits of the parent(s) at the moment of birth, so be sure your Skeleton is actively a Skeleton upon the child's birth if you want the bloodline to be inherited. If they were a Skeleton at any point before, when, or after the pregnancy started, but not at the moment of the child's birth, they will not be counted.
Important: Requires MAL22's Trait Tracker Injector.
