Chromatic Aberration Remover v1.1
Ever wondered why the edges of objects in the game are a little blurry, with a slightly reddish-bluish outline? It's called chromatic aberration and it's disgusting. This graphical effect was conceived to mimic the imperfections of real cameras and create a more cinematic feel. It worked well in games like Alien Isolation and The Order 1886, but frankly, there is no point in using this technology in The Outer Worlds.
The game has a lot of chromatic aberration, so it's rather strange to see that this aspect of the visuals can't be turned off in the settings. The Chromatic Aberration Remover mod fixes this issue.
This is a simple file change to remove the chromatic aberration from the game. It's an effect that adds the colour distortion to the edges of objects. It's a horrible effect and I don't understand why more and more people are using it.
