Given the huge fanbase of FromSortware games, it's no surprise that the modding community has prepared for us some interesting ways to make Elden Ring even better or just indulge in some fun mods.
Elden Ring is a big step for FromSoftware considering it's their first fully open-world souls game. This is partly why enthusiasts keep hoping that Steam Workshop support will be here soon.
Until now, the topic of modifications for Elden Ring in the marketing of the game has not been touched upon, as in previous FromSoftware games. Neither the Dark Souls trilogy nor Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice supported official modding tools. Steam Workshop support never made it there either, though that hasn't stopped fans from creating quite a few mods.
These range from simple reshades that fix the game's color palette, to reskins or more ambitious projects that change key gameplay elements such as monster fights. The status of support for Elden Ring on the Steam Workshop has not been confirmed at this time, and it may not appear in the future.
The lack of official modding tools certainly limits what enthusiasts can do, and unfortunately, from what we know, Elden Ring has found itself in the same situation as its predecessors. Nevertheless, the first modifications for Elden Ring appeared almost immediately after the release of the game, and we have collected the best of them in this collection. It will be supplemented as new significant projects appear.
Keep in mind that some Elden Ring mods can get you banned if you play them online, so you need to make sure the game is offline and the Easy Anti-Cheat feature is disabled before running them.
